The company is scaling quickly and offers strong opportunities for technical and career growth.About the RoleOur Client is seeking a practical and experienced Senior EI&C Engineer to lead technical delivery, guide junior engineers and support field activities. You will split your time between design, documentation, site work and project coordination, ensuring safe, compliant and constructible EI&C solutions.You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and act as the technical lead on projects aligned to your strengths, whether in controls, electrical or instrumentation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead EI&C design, review and approval activities across electrical, instrumentation and control systemsPrepare drawings, schematics, work packs, test plans and technical documentationEnsure compliance with AS3000 and internal QA, change management and documentation control processesSupport installation, programming, calibration, troubleshooting and commissioning of PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation and networking equipmentAttend client sites to inspect works, validate designs, complete inductions and understand field conditionsManage technical delivery of assigned projects, including procurement support, raising POs and expediting materialsLead project review meetings, contribute to constructability reviews and identify technical issues earlyRespond to RFIs and liaise with clients on technical mattersMentor two to three junior engineers, review their work and provide daytoday guidanceOffer technical support to electrical supervisors, HA electricians and technicians in the fieldPrepare quotations and assist with scoping and estimating EI&C workContribute to continuous improvement of designs, processes and systemsMore InformationEmployment type: Permanent, fulltimeLocation: Brisbane, QLDTravel: Mostly local, with occasional regional travel and 20% uplift for remote workWorking rights: Must have full Australian working rightsCareer progression: Opportunities to lead technical areas or grow toward an engineering management pathwayAbout YouExperience & Skills610 years of industrial EI&C engineering experience (strong portfolios with fewer years also considered)Handson commissioning and industrial site experience, not only officebased designStrong EI&C design capability and ability to interpret drawings, work packs and engineering documentsProficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and common PLC/SCADA platforms, ideally Siemens and Rockwell/AllenBradleySolid understanding of Australian Standards, especially AS3000, and awareness of QLD RPEQ requirementsRPEQ registered or progressing toward itStrong communication skills, clear documentation ability and confidence working with clients and techniciansBachelor of Engineering (electrical or related discipline)Valid driver''s licenceMust have fullworking rights in AustraliaNice to HaveHazardous area exposureIgnition SCADA experienceBackground in manufacturing, fuel terminals or miningBasic commercial awareness #J-18808-Ljbffr
