You will be responsible for ensuring productivity remains uninterrupted while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace and responding swiftly to customer needs. The position combines handson operational involvement with broader management responsibilities, working closely with the national operations team to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement across the site.What you will do:Provide a safe place of work for all employees.Ensure compliance with the WHS legislation and company policy.Ensure workplace assessments and hazard inspections are conducted and that the outcomes of such inspections are reviewed and actioned if required.Ensure rapid follow up and action on customer complaints.Maintain, support, and drive the quality system and utilise this system to achieve continuous performance improvements across all parts of the business.Assist in developing robust processes that reduce the reliance on individuals and document the processes through SOP-sReport on budget/forecast variances.Assist in the preparation of business cases for capital and large projects.Prepare weekly reports.Actively promote the Symbion Vision, Values and Purpose.Develop staff to assist them in fulfilling their potential.Set clear expectations and evaluate staff performance.Provide open lines of communication and appropriately manage staff issues.Select and recruit staff in accordance with set policies and develop initiatives to retain staff.Ensure damage to property and equipment is minimised.Ensure that damages are repaired in an appropriate and timely manner, that faulty equipment is tagged.Ensure appropriate security at facilities, which meets legislative requirements and company policy.What we are looking for:Strong operational and frontline leadership, communication, and organization skillsAbility to lead a team to continuously improve its performance.Aptitude and experience in coordinating people to ensure the meeting of deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to develop positive relationships with staff, suppliers, and service providers.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong background in Inventory/Stock Control functionKnowledge of Workplace Health & Safety, Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations and an understanding of the relevant legislation.Experience within Quality Management environment.
