Were doing it with our customers and communities as Australias energy infrastructure partner, a role our unique experience and expertise positions us to play.We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Store Person Trade Assistant to join us in our Operations & Maintenance team in Newman, WA on a full time permanent basis. This role is a Monday-Friday position.Reporting to the Plant Manager Newman, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of the power station through effective stores management, site logistics, and trade assistance.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, dispatch, load and unload goods while ensuring safe and efficient materials handlingMaintain inventory control, stocktaking and warehouse organisationPrepare and coordinate outage materials, parts readiness and freight logisticsCoordinate vehicle fleet servicing, maintenance schedules and site pickupsMaintain warehouse, workshop, yard and laydown areas including general housekeepingProvide operational support to Operations and Maintenance teams across Power Station assets as requiredYour backgroundPrevious experience in a Storeperson, Trades Assistant or similar industrial roleExperience using CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo, SAP, Pronto) for maintenance and inventory managementForklift licence and current drivers licence (required)Ability to work safely in an operational power station or heavy industrial environmentStrong organisational, time management and communication skills with a proactive team-focused attitudeExperience in power generation or heavy industrial environments, with willingness to obtain additional tickets (e.g. Rigging, EWP, Confined Space, Working at Heights) highly regardedAbout the TeamThe Operations & Maintenance team exist to safely operate APA Power, Transmission, Midstream and Network assets in an efficient and cost-effective manner to enable APA to achieve its business strategy and goals, extract maximum value from its assets, and deliver value for its customers.To help APA Securing Australias Energy Future, the Operations teams focus is on Our People, Operational Excellence and Creating Value.
