About the Role We are looking for a motivated Apprentice Electrician who is eager to build a career in the renewable energy industry. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in solar and battery energy systems while working alongside experienced electricians and industry professionals. As part of the Genoffgrid team, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and servicing of off-grid solar and battery systems in Darwin and remote communities. You will learn valuable skills in a growing sector and contribute to meaningful projects that deliver clean energy where it is needed most. Key Responsibilities Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of solar PV and battery storage systems Support qualified electricians with electrical work on off-grid energy systems Help with basic fault finding and troubleshooting Assist in preparing tools, equipment, and materials for projects Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times Travel to remote locations as required and work as part of a team Be available for extended periods of travel to remote locations as required by project demands Learn about off-grid power systems, renewable energy technologies, and industry best practices Represent Genoffgrid professionally when working with local communities and clients About You You are currently undertaking, or looking to commence, an electrical apprenticeship You have a genuine interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and hands-on technical work You are eager to learn and take direction from experienced team members You are reliable, hardworking, and willing to work in remote and challenging environments You have good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude You can communicate well and work effectively in a team You are committed to safety and quality workmanship You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for this position Desirable Interest in solar, battery, or off-grid power systems Previous hands-on experience through work experience, pre-apprenticeship, or trade assistant work Driver''s licence White Card Experience travelling or working in rural or remote areas What We Offer A full-time opportunity to start or continue your electrical career Ongoing training and mentoring from experienced electricians Exposure to the fast-growing solar and battery energy sector The chance to work in unique and diverse remote locations Meaningful work that has a positive impact on communities and the environment A supportive team culture focused on growth, learning, and making a difference How to Apply If you are enthusiastic about starting or growing your career as an electrician in the renewable energy sector, we would love to hear from you.
