OverviewLocation: Sunbury Wine Region, VICEmployment Type: Full-TimeWitchmount Estate Winery is a boutique winery 40 km northwest of Melbourne, producing premium wines from our 6-hectare vineyard in the cool-climate Sunbury region. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Vineyard Manager to lead our vineyard operations and ensure the production of high-quality fruit for the Witchmount and Sparrowhawk wine ranges.The RoleAs Vineyard Manager, youll be hands-on in managing the full seasonal cycle of the vineyard, from pruning and canopy management through to harvest. You will oversee irrigation, soil health, pest and disease control, and ensure that all viticultural practices are sustainable and align with premium wine production. You will also coordinate seasonal and permanent staff, maintain vineyard machinery and records, and work closely with the winemaking and management team to achieve shared business goals.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all day-to-day vineyard operations across the seasonal cycle.Monitor vine health, soil, irrigation, and nutrition programs.Implement pest, disease, and weed control strategies.Determine harvest readiness and coordinate picking activities.Lead and supervise vineyard staff and contractors.Ensure WHS and compliance standards are maintained.About YouDegree/diploma in Viticulture, Agriculture, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years experience in vineyard management or senior vineyard operations.Strong knowledge of cool-climate viticulture and best-practice vineyard management.Skilled in operating and maintaining vineyard machinery and irrigation systems.Organised, proactive, and capable of leading seasonal teams.Collaborative, with excellent communication skills.Why Join Us?This is a rare opportunity to manage a boutique vineyard in one of Victorias historic wine regions.
