We are a nationally registered paediatric practice seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our team.About the practiceWe LOVE working with kidsWe are a Nationally Registered NDIS service providing occupational therapy, speech pathology, physiotherapy and psychology services for children aged 0 - 16 years and their families.We are a small interdisciplinary service focused on children aged 0 - 16 years with a range of developmental, behavioural and cognitive difficulties.We have a close knit, highly supportive team committed to evidence-based care for children and their families.Our vibrant team makes the workplace enjoyable and supports children and families to make real, functional gains.We are a family-friendly practice with a sensory gym and various therapy rooms designed for different age groups.Located in Busselton (Vasse), Western Australia, we provide services to families across the greater South West, including home, school, clinic, or community settings.We support career development with Desire Statements and professional development plans for each staff member; mentoring and supervision can vary from weekly to monthly or 6-weekly depending on experience.We are committed to ongoing professional development, keeping up to date with the latest research and trainings, including internal PD days and external training leave.About the roleThe Speech Pathologist will work autonomously and closely with an experienced interdisciplinary team to provide speech and language input for children, families, and support networks.Flexible supervision and mentoring structure suits a New Graduate or an experienced clinician wanting to advance in paediatrics.Develop and implement individualized, client-centred and family-focused intervention plans.Collaborate with children and/or caregivers to achieve functional outcomes.Monitor progress, review outcomes, and modify intervention as required.Complete school and home visits as needed; participate in Case Conferences and school meetings; facilitate group programs with the team.Opportunity to provide professional development training for parents, teachers and other health professionals.Experience & QualificationsBachelor of Science - Speech PathologyCurrent registration with Speech Pathology AustraliaCurrent Western Australian Drivers License and Working with Children CheckPosition can be tailored to a candidate with experience or a new graduateExperience working with developmental, behavioural and medical conditions including global developmental delay and autism spectrum (desirable)Client-centred, family-focused modelStrong time management, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to apply learned knowledge and critically analyse informationWillingness to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary teamMotivated, enthusiastic and passionate about working with kids and familiesOur ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in and experience working with children and their families, including children on the Autism spectrum or with Global Developmental Delay.
