Learn more on dxc.com DXC Managed Cyber Services is growing our Security Engineering team in Australia and New Zealand. We are looking for a Security Engineer with strong firewall and network security experience to support and manage enterprise security environments for local and multinational clients. This role focuses heavily on next-generation firewall management, security operations, and incident response within a managed services environment. Responsibilities Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW) across enterprise environments Support onboarding, delivery, and ongoing management of managed cyber security services Investigate and respond to high-priority security and infrastructure incidents Implement and maintain firewall policies, security controls, and compliance standards Perform day-to-day operational tasks to meet SLA commitments Work with security vendors to troubleshoot complex technical issues Contribute to security projects, improvements, and technology upgrades Skills & Experience 3+ years experience in cyber security or network security operations Strong experience with NGFW platforms such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, or Cisco Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and the OSI model Experience troubleshooting firewall, routing, and security policy issues Exposure to endpoint security tools (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne) desirable Experience working in AWS or Azure environments beneficial Scripting or automation experience (Python or PowerShell) advantageous Certifications (Highly Regarded): Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, or Cisco security certifications.
