Job Description Responsibilities / Critical Deliverables Address firewall configuration vulnerabilities including: Address single points of failure (NTP and authentication services). Uplift authentication protocols. Harden management public facing IPs. Harden VPN access for the organisation configurations, including Disable deprecated algorithms and weak cipher support. Harden security association lifetimes Harden revocation checks for certificates used on VPN connections. Harden CISCO ASA TLS and SSH support. Support the design, build, and management of secure connectivity solutions including VPNs, firewalls, cloud gateways, and application delivery technologies. Perform system administration and maintenance of connectivity platforms and network security infrastructure. Implement and manage security protocols, vulnerability assessments, and continuous monitoring across all connectivity services. Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Partner with technical teams to ensure efficient and secure integrations across cloud and on-prem environments. Respond to security incidents, maintain incident readiness tools, and support remediation activities. Participate in post-incident reviews and implement improvements to harden infrastructure. The Successful Applicant Skills & Qualifications 7+ years'' experience in network security roles within large enterprise environments. Deep expertise in designing and managing next-generation firewalls and secure networking solutions, including Palo Alto, CheckPoint, F5, or Cisco (ASA). Tertiary qualification in IT, Networking, Engineering, or a related field (mandatory). One or more relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or relevant vendor certifications (mandatory). Strong working knowledge of Azure networking, API security, and VPN gateway configuration. Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to work across teams and manage stakeholder expectations. Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, deception technologies.
