Overview ChemCentre is seeking experienced Laboratory Technicians to support operational laboratory functions within the Forensic Science Laboratory. Two opportunities are available: one within the Illicit Drugs team and one within Forensic Toxicology. Responsibilities In these positions, you will support routine and investigative laboratory workflows by maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment, undertaking quality assurance activities aligned with accreditation requirements, and managing laboratory supplies. You may also assist with the receipting, processing and routine analysis of exhibits submitted as part of investigations and laboratory operations. Qualifications Successful applicants will have a good understanding of laboratory safety requirements, the ability to work effectively within a team environment, and relevant qualifications or experience in laboratory techniques. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to quality systems are highly regarded. Position Details These fulltime positions are offered on a 12month fixedterm contract, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency based at the Resources and Chemistry Precinct in Bentley. Parttime hours may be considered for the Forensic Toxicology position.
