We are seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to expand our presence in Western Australia and maximize growth within a key customer segment. In this pivotal role, you will drive sales profitability and account penetration by showcasing the full value of the MULTIVAC and agency equipment portfolio.OverviewThe role is WA-based and covers the entire MULTIVAC and agency equipment portfolio, including: MULTIVAC Thermoformers and Traysealers; TVI fresh meat portioning equipment; Handtman/Inotec Processing and Filling equipment; Bizerba Labelling and Inspection equipment; Fritsch Bakery Equipment and the entire Notleys MULTIVAC Bakery equipment portfolio; Provisur; Schroter Smoking and Cooking equipment; Cabinplant Multihead Weighing equipment. The candidate may provide input on growth opportunities and strategies for various products and markets relevant to MULTIVAC Australia, and contribute to continuous improvement of business practices across departments. The role requires promoting/selling/secured orders through a relationship-based, consultative sales approach, demonstrating products and services, and assisting customers in selecting best-fit solutions. Responsibilities include ensuring quotes include necessary information, initiating the invoice process timely, updating the client on milestones, building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective customers, researching sources for new prospects, developing clear proposals/quotations, planning effective call cycles, maintaining CRM records, expediting problem resolution, coordinating with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical services teams, analyzing market potential, identifying competitive advantages, maximizing territory ROI, and providing regular oral and written reports on customer needs and market trends. It also includes participating in trade shows, ensuring customer accounts are paid promptly, and performing any other tasks allocated by the State Manager or National Sales Manager.ResponsibilitiesPromote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based, consultative style of sales approach.Demonstrate products and services to existing and potential new customers and assist them in selecting those solutions best suited to their needs.Ensure that all requests for quotes are presented with all necessary information to ensure prompt turnaround of proposals.Ensure that the request for invoice process is initiated in a timely and thorough manner.Engage with the client post order intake and ensure that the client is updated with all milestone information.Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned market segment to generate new business for the organizations products and services.Research sources for developing prospective customers to determine their potential.Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.Develop effective call cycles plans to ensure efficient coverage of defined customers and territories.Ensure that CRM is updated with all opportunity and account details in a timely manner.Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints and escalate support as needed internally.Coordinate sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.Analyze the territory/markets potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to maximize opportunities and eventual sales.Identify advantages and compare products and services to isolate a competitive edge and persuade the customer.Maximize the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through reading pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.Participate in trade shows and conventions as required.Ensure customer accounts (ARs) are paid promptly and kept up to date.Any other associated task allocated by State Manager or National Sales Manager.Relationships and AuthorityDay to day reporting to the WA State Manager, with direct line to the National Sales Manager as needed.External stakeholders and executives of external organizations.Required SkillsSuccessful track record in sales growth.Ability to engage with clients and articulate solutions.Confidence in developing and presenting proposals.Building relationships/networks.Knowledge of CRM and Microsoft Office Suite.Management and mentoring of team members. #J-18808-Ljbffr
