This innovative project ensures people with lived experience of homelessness directly shape policy and system reform across the NT.Working in partnership with YWCA and the NT Government, you will:Establish and coordinate the NT Lived Experience Advisory GroupEnsure strong representation across regions and diverse communitiesCreate safe, respectful, trauma-informed spaces for participationDevelop recruitment and promotional materialsBuild relationships with government, community, housing and regional stakeholdersSupport evaluation, reporting, communications and project documentationProvide high-level project and administrative support to the Strategy TeamThis role is ideal for someone who excels in relationship-building, project coordination and collaborative, strengths-based work.To be successful you will hold:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, Health Promotion or a related field.Demonstrated experience of trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred practice.Experience working with people with lived experience to identify, shape and advocate for systemic change.Experience, knowledge of the range of factors that can lead to homelessnessDemonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peopleNote: The filling of this position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), section 57 of the Antidiscrimination Act 1996 (NT) and section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.Special Measures vacancies are open to everyone including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
