Career Opportunities: Senior Payroll Officer (5232)Requisition ID5232-Posted -Geelong - 1 Malop Street$102,747.00 per annum + 12% superannuationFull time, ongoing term opportunityWadawurrung / Geelong based role (hybrid work from home 3 days a week in office)About the opportunityThe Senior Payroll Officer supports the leadership of the payroll function and ensures the business area provides a high level of customer service to all its clients. This role works alongside another Senior Payroll Officer to support other members of the Payroll team with complex payroll matters.The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the accurate, compliant and timely delivery of the organisations fortnightly payroll while contributing to service improvement, policy development and business planning.Key accountabilitiesEnsures statutory compliance of the payroll function including compliance with the following legislation by administration of the fortnightly payroll and on cost management (PAYG, payroll tax, workers compensation Insurance and superannuation) obligations.Leads the Payroll Officers on a day-to-day basis to ensure targets, timetables and customer service expectations are achieved within an environment of appropriate internal controls including segregation of duties. This includes ensuring the Manager, Payroll Services is kept informed of errors, anomalies, system failures, internal control breaches or any other issues encountered.Handles sensitive data relating to employees personal and private information with the highest levels of discretion when preparing and/or reviewing the fortnightly payroll. This includes the review of Enterprise Agreement calculations for WorkSafe Victoria and the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC).Provides ongoing advice, education and training to Payroll Officers and key stakeholders using technical payroll skills and experience.Ensures delivery of a high level of customer service to internal and external clients in line with service level agreements and WorkSafe values.You bring extensive senior payroll expertise and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to your stakeholders. Known for your problemsolving mindset, you apply analytical thinking to navigate complex issues and support continuous improvement.
