We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Parks Employee to join our team and help us achieve a high standard of presentation for our Citys Parks, Gardens and Turf Areas.Primary Purpose of the Position: As part of a Parks team, you will play a crucial role in upholding the Citys commitment to outstanding Greenspace maintenance. Reporting to the responsible Supervisor, you will ensure our Parks, Gardens and Turf meet the highest standards of presentation. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate various plant and equipment for daily maintenance tasks.Inspect Park structures and amenities; promptly report and address any damage or hazards.Conduct routine clean-ups, including litter collection and disposal.Identify and manage weeds and pests using appropriate methods.Maintain plants and lawns using contemporary horticultural techniques.Identify and report reticulation issues with our gardens, streetscapes and turf areasAssist with construction projects and maintenance works as directed.Report daily to the Supervisor for instructions and updates.Adhere to all City policies and procedures, ensuring safety and compliance.Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisors of Parks, Reserves or Turf along with the Coordinator of Parks and Open spaces.
