Our specialist services include CAD design, steel processing and fabrication.PurposeThis position is a hands-on site leadership role, working on site and overseeing a team of tradesman to deliver construction projects across the Northern Territory in a professional, safe and timely manner. The role will involve direct reports of qualified and apprentice tradespeople, and it will report directly to the Project Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide carpentry skills to deliver projects across the Northern Territory in a professional, safe and timely mannerOversee team of tradespeople in a manner that promotes our strong company culture and values.Ensure consistent and timely communication with Project Manager on job delivery and any challenges that arise.Leads by example in ensuring representing the company professionally at all times, by instructing team to present the site in a safe and tidy manner and dealing with clients and stakeholders respectfully.Provide assistance and education to apprentice tradespeople as requiredCompletes Job Completion Checklist prior to Quality Assurance check by Project Manager and Handover to Client.Safety & ComplianceEnsures all power tools are in good working order prior to use and have been tasted and tagged.Ensure WHS compliance as per WorkSafe NT and Ross Engineering company policiesEnsure compliance with Ross Engineering employee policies as outlined in employee handbookPerformance MeasuresTimely delivery of projectsTimely submission of Job Completion Checklist to General Manager & Project ManagerAdhere at all times to company workplace policies and proceduresOverseeing staff in a respectful manner ensuring staff satisfaction and building on our company culture and valuesPerform all assigned tasks promptly, asking for clarification without hesitationAlways raise issues and or delays with Project Manager promptlyConstantly display an ability to be prompt and generally assist the Project Manager and assigned teamRepresent yourself and the Company professionally at all times, including wearing the uniform correctly, presenting yourself in a respectful manner on site and in front of clients & stakeholders, and ensure the work site is always kept in a safe and tidy manner.Performance appraisals will be carried out biannually.Be careful - Dont provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
