Work that matters The Technical Assistant (Casual) provides operational and technical support to ensure the effective daytoday functioning of simulation teaching and learning environments within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Operating under general supervision and established procedures, the role contributes to the preparation, maintenance and packdown of simulation facilities, equipment and learning resources. The position supports the delivery of highquality teaching activities through the application of technical skills, attention to detail and a strong service orientation. Core Responsibilities Operational Support for Teaching Activities Simulation Resource Preparation Equipment and Technology Support Stores and Inventory Control Team Contribution and Service Delivery Compliant with Health and Safety guidelines Experience Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a structured, serviceoriented team environment Proven capacity to complete operational tasks accurately and within required timeframes Demonstrated technical aptitude and confidence operating equipment and associated technologies Sound problemsolving skills within established procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Eligibility Requirements Completion of a relevant trades certificate or CertificateIII; or Year12 or CertificateII with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Effective written and verbal communication skills Desirable qualities Knowledge of clinical equipment and healthcare consumables Experience supporting simulationbased education or similar technical environments Experience in roles requiring manual dexterity and technical precision Special Requirements Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends Capacity to undertake manual handling and physically active duties as required Our commitment to inclusion and diversity We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion where diversity is celebrated and everyone feels respected and valued.
