It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.In addition, you will need:A valid Australian Driver''s Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicleAn interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).The roleIn the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:General housekeeping and making bedsCleaning, mopping and vacuuming floorsWashing, folding and ironing laundryMeal preparation and grocery shopping.You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the dayAssisting clients to take their medicationsAssisting with mobility and therapy goalsProviding complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementiaProviding social and emotional supportProviding the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointmentsHelping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.Why choose SilverchainEveryone at Silverchain, from our care teams to leadership, plays a vital role in delivering Best Care.
