The Position: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and works in close partnership with the CFO and senior leadership team. The COO provides strategic and operational leadership across Avivos service delivery streams (aged care, disability and mental health), with accountability for approximately 800 staff through a team of senior operational leaders. The role is central to translating strategy into practice, ensuring safe, highquality, compliant and financially sustainable services, while strengthening organisational capability, culture and performance. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring presence across Avivos locations, balanced with flexibility and trustbased leadership. About You: You will be a peoplecentred operational leader with strong alignment to Avivos values and purpose. Your background ideally includes human services, healthcare, disability, aged care, mental health or broader servicebased environments, with experience leading large, multisite workforces in complex regulatory and funding contexts. A strong understanding of governance requirements within the forpurpose and human services sectors is essential. Commercial acumen, combined with a genuine commitment to delivering excellent service outcomes, is critical. Postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA, or qualifications in business management, executive leadership or project management, are desirable.
