Hammerstone is entering a significant growth phase with strong demand and a clear pathway to expand capability, revenue and market share. We are a 30person engineering and technology business expected to double in size over the next 1218 months with international expansion aspirations. We compete in a capabilitydriven segment where delivery performance and technical depth differentiate market leaders. We are seeking one exceptional operator to join the executive leadership at this critical stage. This is a performancedriven role with clear accountability for financial outcomes and office performance. Working as part of the executive leadership, you will take full ownership of operational performance, ensuring the business runs efficiently, profitably and predictably while the leaders focus on accelerating revenue growth, capital strategy, product advancement and strategic partnerships. This is a highintensity, handson role in a founderled business. You must be comfortable operating without corporate support structures and prepared to lead from the front. The Opportunity Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the founders, you hold full operational accountability for Hammerstone''s Brisbane operations. You will lead: Programs and Projects Integrated Product Support You are responsible for project delivery performance across the portfolio, managing delivery policy, plans and processes, chairing project boards, and maintaining disciplined governance, safety, quality and security standards. Your mandate is to: Increase productivity and delivery predictability Strengthen financial reporting, margin control and cost discipline Improve utilisation, working capital management and EBITDA performance Build scalable systems and operational structure Recruit, develop and retain highperforming people Support profitable revenue growth You are accountable for operational performance, productivity and margin outcomes as the business scales from 30 to 60+ people and beyond. This role requires demonstrated experience scaling a commercial business, not solely managing within one. You operate with ownership, urgency and commercial discipline. Based in Bowen Hills, Brisbane, with occasional travel, domestically and internationally. Growth and Market Opportunity Hammerstone operates in a growing sovereign technology segment supporting Defence and industry. Demand for digitally integrated logistics and autonomous systems capability is accelerating. We are positioned to expand revenue, deepen customer engagement and strengthen market share through delivery performance and innovation. Our ambition extends beyond headcount. What Success Looks Like (24 Months) Headcount doubles without loss of delivery performance Project governance is disciplined and reliable Financial transparency and margin control are strengthened Productivity improves measurably Who This Role Suits Successfully scaled a technology, engineering or services business Minimum of 58 years experience scaling businesses with annual revenue between $10m$15m Minimum of 58 years of P&L accountability experience Improved EBITDA and commercial performance Built highperforming teams in growing organisations Delivered complex programs in technical or safetycritical environments Understand margin, utilisation, cost control, working capital and sustainable growth Comfortable writing proposals, resolving people issues, tightening delivery governance and representing the business externally, often within the same week Build leaders, set standards and make decisions Leads commercial businesses in the 20100 employee range, not solely operated within large corporate structures with layered support functions Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance is required Remuneration Base salary expected in the range of $180,000-$220,000 + Super , commensurate with experience. A performancebased shortterm incentive plan will be negotiated with the successful candidate, aligned to financial outcomes, delivery performance and growth milestones. Why Join Hammerstone?
