Temp Director, Communications and Engagement (Frontline Engagement) Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD Brisbane, QLD, Australia A$166,623-A$174,339 p/a Above market On-site As the Director, Communications and Engagement (Frontline Engagement), you will lead the implementation of The Wave program''s community engagement and consultation framework, ensuring best practices guide interactions with stakeholders and the community. This role focuses on delivering coordinated, consistent, and effective engagement strategies to support the successful delivery of all projects within The Wave program. Key responsibilities include: Supporting senior leaders in planning and executing The Wave''s engagement strategy across all stages and projects. Leading the development, delivery, and evaluation of community engagement plans and outreach programs, including managing the Project Information Centre. Overseeing education and awareness initiatives to enhance community understanding of the project. Providing strategic advice on complex engagement matters and ensuring alignment with TMR''s communications framework. Collaborating with contractors to ensure consistent and coordinated engagement activities. Participating in Project Leadership Teams and briefing stakeholders on project scope, strategies, and risks. Driving team performance, fostering a positive workplace culture, and delivering customer-focused outcomes. Mandatory requirements: Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role. An ideal candidate will : Possess tertiary qualifications (Bachelor''s degree or higher) in Communications, Media, Business, Corporate Affairs or a related discipline. A minimum of ten years relevant experience working in community engagement for large infrastructure projects. Experience leading and implementing community engagement frameworks and strategies, liaising with local communities and stakeholders and all levels of government and industry.
