The Role The Industry Regulation and Consumer Protection Legal Division is responsible for providing legal advice to Departmental clients that is accurate, timely and solution focused. Provide advice and conduct litigation on a broad range of complex and sensitive matters on behalf of the Department, the statutory officeholders and external boards supported by the Department. Provide strategic leadership in the development of a team of lawyers in accordance with our performance review and development system. Assist the General Counsel in managing the resources of the Division. Qualifications & Licenses Current Australian practising certificate that enables the holder to engage in legal practice as a government legal practitioner or eligible to obtain one prior to commencement of employment.
