As General Manager for NSW youll be the driving force behind TOMRAs success in the state. Reporting to the CEO, youll steer operations toward profitability and efficiency while championing growth through volumebuilding initiatives and network optimisation, all whilst keeping our customers needs in mind. Your mission? Keep the wheels turning smoothly by optimizing sites, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance while creating a workplace where safety, engagement and development thrive. Youll collaborate closely with our JV partner TOMRA Cleanaway and play a key role on the local TOMRA Collections Australia (TCA) Leadership Team by sharing wins, lessons and building a culture that connects states under one vision. Key Responsibilities Act as a safety leader and ensure compliance with TOMRA SAFE Standards and Guidelines. Build and maintain an organisation in NSW that is set up for success based on agreed People, Planet and Profit KPIs (both for NSW and TCA). Act as a champion for employee engagement and TOMRA Culture, ensuring that engagement initiatives are established and implemented consistently. Train and mentor direct reports to ensure that they are set up for success in their current role and preparing for future opportunities. Develop, implement and monitor volumebuilding activities to drive volume to existing return points. Oversee contractual compliance regarding delivery of Network Operator obligations. Drive a positive and constructive relationship with Joint Venture Partners, meeting all requirements as a service provider to the joint venture. Support and own TOMRA response to expansion activities for the Network, including but not limited to RFTs, Scheme Expansion. Establish annual People, Planet and Profit targets/KPIs and ensure the business delivers on the agreed commitments. Prepare and run monthly business reviews with TCA leadership in line with agreed deadlines. Own ongoing continuous improvement initiatives with the respective market, with a focus on operational efficiencies, safety and uptime. Work closely with the crossfunctional teams to optimally manage requests, workload and key resource allocation. Analyse competitor activity to ensure TOMRA maintains their competitive advantage in the market. Including conducting market research, analysing industry trends, and developing strategies to stay ahead. Drive positive financial outcomes by ensuring the commercial and financial viability of the organisation unit. This includes full P/L ownership of New South Wales. Nurture key external stakeholder relationships in order to protect and grow existing business (this may include but not limited to scheme coordinators, government regulators, and vendors). Be involved and lead development and expansion of TOMRAs offering to drive competitive advantage. Prepare and present operational and financial performance reports to internal & external stakeholders. Drive sustainability initiatives in line with TOMRAs business objectives. Owner over People Management activity within the market in line with TOMRA Policies and Procedures. Qualifications What makes a great GM at TOMRA: Technical/ Professional 10+ years experience in a leadership position, with operational experience. Cert IV in Leadership & Management or similar. Strong financial and commercial skills, understanding of pricing models, budgets and forecasting. Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve business objectives. General Strong mindset and focus on safety. Strong stakeholder engagement at an external senior level. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent ability to collaborate crossdepartmentally. Demonstrable experience delivering strategic insights and recommendations. Experience and demonstrated ability to drive effective operations through complex structure. Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve high performance and engagement. Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
