Posting Date: June 2024 Maria Montessori Academy is an independent school in Victoria offering dynamic, handson learning to students from Preschool to Grade 12. This is a community based school boasting low student/teacher ratios and an allaround excellent working environment. We are currently seeking certified Montessori ECE Director/Directress(es) to join our team in September 2024. The successful candidate will work alongside a wonderful team of educators, and work directly alongside another ECE in the same classroom. The successful candidate will enjoy the flexibility and benefits of a collaborative team of teachers and an overall excellent working environment. Education BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate (ECE) Montessori age 3-6 training (would consider a candidate that is an excellent match without Montessori training, if they are interested in beginning their Montessori training) Current First Aid or willingness to acquire Qualifications Experience with team teaching Proven ability to effectively communicate with children, colleagues, and parents Commitment to professional growth Strong interpersonal skills Excited to participate in extracurricular activities Enjoys working closely with colleagues from other classrooms/areas of the school to share ideas and problem solve Responsibilities Engagement with students of various learning levels and capabilities Maintenance of the Prepared Environment Positive behaviour management Tracking student lessons and progress Parent communication Attendance of staff meetings Please submit your cover letter and resume to the vice principal via email, [email protected] or drop by the office on campus.
