Primary objective Provide a customer focused service to potential employees, new employees and relevant managers prior to commencement and upon commencement ensuring a smooth, positive and meaningful on-boarding experience whilst complying with applicable industrial instruments, policies and procedures. Key duties and responsibilities Engage with potential and new employees and provide a positive and welcoming experience to Central Australia. Proactively assist and support new employees with the NT Health recruitment and on boarding process. Ensure a professional and efficient approach to the management of tasks, at the direction of the work unit manager/senior staff. Ensure accurate records are maintained through relevant data collection and appropriate record keeping including using electronic systems. Provide a frontline information and support service in response to queries from the public, staff and outside agencies. Maintain respect for individuals privacy and confidentiality when undertaking tasks. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Selection criteria Essential Proven knowledge and experience in effective administrative procedures in a customer service environment. Demonstrated sound skills in use of Information Technology, including word processing and record and database management. Demonstrated skills in problem solving to positively support the stakeholders experience. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service through effective and appropriate communication with clients and staff at all levels, including health professionals and members of the public. Demonstrated ability to work reliably and flexibly as part of a diverse team, follow directions and use time management skills to prioritise work and execute tasks. Understanding of privacy principles, proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures, particularly in dealing in sensitive matters. High standard of oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, time management and organisation to ensure effective teamwork. Desirable Demonstrated working knowledge of Central Australia localities, health services and relevant systems.
