This is a site-based role offering strong client interaction, technical ownership, and long-term project continuity. The role responsibilities include: Lead and contribute to instrumentation and control system design, with a strong focus on PLC-based control systems (Rockwell preferred) and brownfield applications. Support proposals and business development activities by preparing execution strategies, estimates, and technical content. Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors to support successful project delivery. Plan and coordinate team workloads, ensuring appropriate resourcing, performance support, and technical mentoring. Ensure engineering and design deliverables comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Participate in project planning and execution, contributing to cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Prepare and review engineering documentation including specifications, data sheets, and bid evaluations. Provide technical support to construction, commissioning, and operations through on-site collaboration and problem solving. What youll have: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering. RPEV registration, or the ability to obtain within three months of joining. A strong foundation in instrumentation design, including interfaces to PLC control systems within brownfield environments. Experience working in industrial process facilities; aluminium smelter experience is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with Rockwell Control Systems is preferred.
