OverviewArrowfield Stud | full-time | $75,000 - $80,000Hunter, NSWRole: Horse Trainer/Breeding - Yearlings. Position is full-time and available in Scone NSW.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing daily care and supervision of horsesEducating and preparing young stock for saleEarly education of foals and weanlingsMonitoring mare ovulation and pregnancyAssisting veterinarians with ultrasound/reproduction examination, including assisting in birthing foals and administering medical treatment to foalsEssential Criteria / QualificationsA Certificate III or equivalent international qualification, or in the absence of a qualification a minimum of three years professional full-time experience educating and training horsesA minimum of two years equivalent full-time experience handling and working with and educating thoroughbred horsesKnowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbreds, including stallions, sales or breedingProven ability to train and educate young horsesOral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction; provide information and advice to others and prepare basic reportsKnowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipmentSound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in safe operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of racehorsesJob DetailsThis is a full-time position, and the suitable applicant will need to commit to a minimum of two-years employment.For overseas applicants, please note, a valid visa will be required to commence work.The salary will be above award in the range of $75,000 to $80,000 per annum depending upon the level of responsibility.Please send detailed resume listing your horse training experience and two written references to [email protected] #J-18808-Ljbffr
