The work area This role sits within the Revenue and Intergovernmental Relations Directorate which is part of the Economic business unit. The team provides analysis and advice on State taxes, mineral royalties and Commonwealth-State relations. The area also provides forecasting and monitoring of GST revenue and advice on GST distribution. The opportunity Are you passionate about developing and providing advice on policy issues? We are looking for a motivated individual to join us and make a difference for Western Australia. In this role, you will: Develop, coordinate and deliver high quality advice on State taxation and mineral royalties to inform government decision making. Use and develop new models for analysing and estimating the financial impact of changes to policy. Distil economic and policy analysis into written advice that is compelling and fit for the target audience. We currently have one permanent full-time or part-time position available for filling within the Revenue Policy team.
