The Role Gilmore College is seeking a proactive, dedicated, and enthusiastic Head of Learning Area (HOLA) Science to join our Management Team. As the HOLA Science, you will work with a collaborative team to develop a culture of highquality teaching practices in the learning area of Science. You will evaluate teaching practice effectiveness, develop a highperforming and collegial team, and manage a significant budget. By embedding our Classroom Management Skill (CMS), Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Whole School Instructional Model, the successful applicant will create authentic learning environments that cater to student diversity and needs. The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal skills, promote effective and distributed leadership within the learning area, and foster academic aspiration and engagement. You will implement wholeschool policies, processes and procedures, embedding a culture of professional leadership, trust and continuous improvement for all students and staff. As a culturally responsive practitioner, you will create and sustain a studentcentred learning environment built on strong relationships and collaboration.
