Evervet is a multi-site veterinary group with four clinics across South East Melbourne - Prahran, South Yarra, East Melbourne, and our soon-to-open Hawthorn location. As we continue to scale, we need a General Manager who can hold it all together - operationally, commercially, and culturally. Why this role is different A supportive, values-driven culture that people actually feel High clinical standards and a team that takes pride in their work Owners who genuinely care about team wellbeing, sustainability, and leadership growth What youll be doing Youll have broad ownership across the business, working closely with the Directors and leading a team of Hospital and Clinic Leaders. Day-to-day, that looks like: Leading operations across all four clinic locations, driving efficiency and consistency Managing the full employee lifecycle - from hiring and onboarding through to performance, IR, and culture Building and managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability Overseeing rostering, scheduling, and daily workflow across the group Setting and maintaining client service standards in partnership with clinic leaders Managing IT, equipment, procurement, supplier relationships and contract negotiations Directing marketing and digital strategy in collaboration with internal and external partners Ensuring WHS, compliance, and veterinary board standards are met across all sites Reporting weekly to Directors with key business metrics and strategic insight This is a genuinely broad remit. Youll need to be comfortable moving between the strategic and the operational, often on the same day. About you Youre probably someone who: Has led operations across multiple sites before - ideally in healthcare, veterinary, retail, or a similarly complex service environment Is as comfortable reading a P&L as you are providing feedback and coaching to a team member Leads with empathy and accountability in equal measure Thrives in environments that are growing quickly and doesnt need everything to be perfectly defined Genuinely cares about the people you lead, not just the outcomes they produce You dont need a veterinary or medical background - but you do need to understand how service-based businesses work and how culture and operations are deeply connected.
