Who are we looking for? Were looking for an experienced Environmental Project Director to join our Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation team, based in our office in Vancouver, BC. The ideal candidate will be someone that can lead multidisciplinary environmental projects, making decisions and being proactive in prevention, control, and remediation of environmental hazards using various engineering disciplines, like waste treatment, site remediation, or pollution control technology, in addition to building and nurturing solid client relationships and helping drive sustainable revenue growth in the region. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation Design: Design (or enable others while being accountable for) engineering and scientific solutions to bring contaminated sites through to closure through assessment, remediation and/or risk assessment, that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory standards. Professional Supervision: Provide effective professional supervision of practitioners'' professional development. Implement and supervise the resourcing, systems and processes to ensure timely delivery of services meeting client requirements and budgets with strong technical ability. Project Leadership: oversight and mentorship of projects from proposal through to execution in accordance with our project management and quality performance metrics. This will include leading a portfolio of projects reporting to the (BGL) Business Group Leader of both federally regulated and provincially regulated projects for several clients. Note: experience working with Defense Construction Canada would be considered an asset. Technical Developments Recommendation: Completing and contributing to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, implementing remediation techniques and developing site management strategies, in addition to recommending more complex or innovative technical solutions. Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships, including federal clients, and engaging with industry networks; working with the BGL to ensure the team is functioning to deliver an enhanced client experience. Health, Safety, Quality and Environment: Monitor and review performance against health, safety, quality and environment key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organization''s policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions. Culture of Innovation: Drive a culture of innovation by creating multistakeholder solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration across business units. Salary range: $110,220 - $183,700 based on experience. Qualifications: What you will bring to the team: Bachelor''s degree in environmental science, engineering or related discipline Registered with a professional designation in BC (e.g. P.Eng or P.Geo or P.Ag) 10+ years of experience with contaminated site assessments and remediation Expertise in managing field assessments and technical reporting Knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements surrounding contaminated sites Solid mentoring skills with a desire to help the advancement of team members in their career pursuits Self-motivated with strong leadership, time management and organizational ability Strong communication and writing skills with a collaborative mindset Valid driver''s license How To Apply: Please apply directly to the job posting on our careers page: #J-18808-Ljbffr
