A well-established, product-led financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the team on an initial 6-month contract. The business is continuing to invest in modern engineering practices while evolving its core platforms, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native architecture, automation and high-quality product delivery. Based in Melbourne CBD with a hybrid working model, this contract offers the opportunity to contribute to key platform initiatives and deliver meaningful product improvements used at scale. Youll be joining a collaborative engineering environment that values clean architecture, pragmatic delivery and strong cross-team collaboration. What youll be doing Design, build and enhance scalable applications across the full technology stack Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver high-quality features Contribute to modern cloud-based systems using Azure and CI/CD pipelines Support ongoing platform improvements and help drive engineering best practices Take ownership of delivery within a cross-functional team working on customer-facing products What were looking for Strong commercial experience as a Software Engineer across backend and frontend systems Solid background working with C# and modern web technologies Experience building scalable applications in complex or high-traffic environments Exposure to architectural patterns such as Domain-Driven Design, CQRS or event-driven systems A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Exposure to AI-assisted development, automation or intelligent platforms weave.
