Location of work: Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney Length of contract: 12 months Contract extensions: 24 months extension (two extensions of twelve months each) Security clearance: Australian citizen Job details The Department is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Solution Architect. The successful candidate is required, but not limited to: Own and lead the endtoend solution architecture for D365 application projects Provide strategic input to enterprise architecture and technology investment direction Define and document the architecture and solution design in line with Departmental practices Ensure solution design is in alignment with Microsoft Azure ecosystem, D365 architectural standards, design principles, configurationovercustomisation guardrails, DevOps and security principles Provide technical leadership to project delivery teams and contribute to multidisciplinary agile ways of working Lead design workshops, architecture reviews and act as the accountable authority for technical design and solution integrity Oversee and guide the development of applications/services on the D365 platform including data, security and compliance, data migration and integration Evaluate and recommend new features, functions, tools and practices to enhance solution architecture Design and plan integrations between Dynamics and enterprise platforms or thirdparty solutions Provide advice on technical issues and play an active role in mitigating technology risks Work with the enterprise architecture team to leverage (where applicable): Enterprise architecture principles, standards and guidelines Enterprise architecture frameworks, patterns and technologies Governance arrangements around design Participate in architecture group forums to align D365 projects with the broader frameworks and practices within the division. Skills & Experience required: Support the delivery team in translating business needs and requirements into system specifications Contribute across all phases of projects (e.g., Plan, Analyse, Design, Build, Test and Rollout) Partner with crossfunctional technology and design teams to ensure consistent solution delivery Define the Product Backlog Items (PBIs) including acceptance criteria for technical work packages and activities Work closely with the project team to ensure DevOps items are being managed to meet timeframes, timely development sprints are achieved and defects are resolved Work in a fastpaced agile operating environment adopting delivery in sprints Create and update solution architecture artefacts such as architecture model, high level design, process maps and technical papers Excellent creative problemsolving skills Experience working in an Agile and Iterative Development approach Work independently in complex situations with a pragmatic approach to allocated work, demonstrating commitment to project outcomes Demonstrated ability to produce high quality, concise, easy to read and relevant documentation for digital services that may include user research, service design, architecture and analysis documentation. Indepth knowledge, expertise and demonstrated experience in delivering the architecture and design for new and existing applications within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. 2. Extensive experience providing architectural leadership and guidance throughout project delivery and acting as the technical lead for the D365 development team. 3. Proven ability to act as the technical authority and achieve strategic balance between technical optimisation and business considerations to provide practical, scalable and robust solution designs adhering to architectural principles. 4. Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail, organise competing priorities, progress multiple deliverables in parallel and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 1. Qualifications and certifications in D365, enterprise architecture frameworks and agile delivery. 2. Experience working in solution delivery involving COTS products, configuration and customisation of OOTB features, data migration and integration. 3. Experience working in solutions involving document review capabilities and integration of thirdparty tools with Dynamics. 4.
