Their focus is on progressing projects from early concept through to construction readiness, and contributing to a sustainable future. As the business continues to grow, they are strengthening their development team with the addition of a Project Development Officer.THE ROLEThis position plays a key role in identifying and advancing the client''s project portfolio. Reporting to the Origination Manager, you will help guide projects through feasibility, approvals and connections, ensuring they are fully prepared for handover and future delivery. The role combines assessment, consultant coordination, landowner negotiations, and approvals management, with a strong emphasis on maintaining momentum across all development activities and concurrent projects. You will play a key role in cultivating new opportunities and contributing to the pipeline of solar and battery storage projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESClient & Commercial EngagementSupport ongoing communication with clients and maintain positive, professional relationshipsIdentify and nurture opportunities across the NEMProvide regular updates to ensure clients have clear visibility of project statusStakeholder and Government LiaisonAssist with navigating State and Federal approval pathways under guidance from the Origination ManagerCoordinate input from consultants and technical specialists to meet project milestonesMonitor deliverables from external providers to ensure quality and alignment with project objectivesParticipate in community consultation activities as neededLand AcquisitionContribute to securing land, development options and negotiating contractsAssist in the preparation and management of sitespecific permits and supporting documentationFrequent travel regionally and interstate to secure sitesTechnical Coordination, Grid & Regulatory SupportOrganise and oversee required technical studies such as surveying, acoustic assessments, bushfire reviews and other specialist reportsCoordinate development approvalsEnsure environmental obligations, including EPBC Act 1999 requirements, are incorporated into project planningSupport Origination Manager and Grid teams'' studies to progress connection applications and enquiriesReporting & Project AdministrationPrepare and circulate weekly updates on project progress internally and externallyManage documentation, filing and project correspondence to a high standardRespond to additional reporting or admin tasks as directedEXPERIENCE & SKILLSExperience supporting development application processes for Solar, BESS or Wind projectsAbility to work with multidisciplinary internal and external stakeholdersPrior sales experience with strong communication and relationshipbuilding skillsConfidence in preparing briefs, reviewing proposals and coordinating consultant engagementsStrong administration, document control and attention to detailProficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe AcrobatWHY JOIN?Melbournebased opportunityExcellent opportunities for career development and trainingContribute to the advancement of netzero targetsNEXT STEPSIf you''re looking for a role where you can be at the forefront of the energy sector, and you have prior experience advancing development processes, we''d love to hear from you.To apply, please follow the link provided.
