Join one of Australias largest and fastestgrowing councils and play a critical role in strengthening procurement capability across the organisation.Were looking for a Principal Strategic Procurement & Supply Analyst who can combine analytical expertise, commercial acumen, and stakeholder collaboration to improve how Council plans, sources, manages, and measures procurement activity.In this brandnew senior role, you will transform procurement, spend, supplier, and contract data into actionable insights that support evidencebased decision making. Your work will help shape strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, compliance, and continuous improvement across Councils procurement function.Key responsibilities include:Analyse procurement and organisational spend to identify trends, risks, and savings opportunities.Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting that support both operational and strategic decisions.Deliver advanced analysis that supports forecasting, category planning, financial modelling, and commercial negotiations.Monitor supplier performance, contract compliance, and procurement KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.Identify process and system improvement opportunities to enhance data quality, workflow efficiency, and reporting maturity.Partner with stakeholders across procurement, finance, and operational teams to build capability and provide fitforpurpose insights.About youYou are a detaildriven commercial thinker who thrives on solving complex problems through data. You can translate technical analysis into clear, compelling insights that influence decisions at multiple levels of the organisation.To succeed in this role, you will have:Significant experience in procurement analytics, commercial advisory, or similar datadriven roles.Advanced analytical capability and the ability to interpret large, complex, or incomplete datasets.Strong proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL environments).Experience evaluating supplier performance and monitoring contract and procurement KPIs.Excellent communication skills to present insights clearly and influence diverse stakeholders.A continuous improvement mindset and experience delivering practical, scalable process improvements.Knowledge of publicsector procurement principles (Queenslandspecific beneficial but not essential).What you do with your life matters.
