Find purpose and impact As our Waste and Collection Attendant, youll make an impact by playing an essential, handson role in keeping the Dubbo region clean and enjoyable for all. Youll have the opportunity to be at the leading edge of waste and recycling while we transition away from the old school landfill mentality towards resource recovery and circular economy initiatives. You''ll work with an experienced team passion for ensuring the best for our environment and operate stateoftheart equipment. You''ll also work across all aspects of our waste facilities, including rural transfer stations and undertake garbage collection runs in both Dubbo and Wellington, where each day will be different, bringing its own set of experiences and positive challenges. Youll make an impact by Undertaking waste classification in line with best practice to ensure positive environmental, social and financial outcomes. Providing a positive customer experience. Diverting waste material away from landfill through effective packaging and processing of waste material for recycling or treatment. Competently and optimally operating heavy plant such as Loader, Compactor, Forklift, Skid Steer, Hook Lift, Truck and Watercart. What Youll Bring To thrive in this role, you will need: Plant operator competence in loader, compactor, forklift or bobcat and other plant operation applicable to landfill operations, including mechanical aptitude. Class HR Drivers Licence. WorkCover construction induction card. General administrative skills showing a competent level of literacy, numeracy, basic computer skills and cashier work. Good customer service and verbal communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. We Would Also Love You To Have Appropriate workrelated waste management experience and operation of a sidelift waste collection truck. Knowledge of computeroperated weighbridge equipment.
