Early Childhood Educator (Child Care Worker) Margaret River Community Centre Margaret River WA Margaret River Community Centre for Children is a family- and child-centred long day care centre, focusing on inclusivity and interculturalism. Staff provide exceptional care and a quality learning environment, with lots of community and nature-based interactions. Operating from the Margaret River Community Centre, we are a not-for-profit association. We are looking for a dedicated and qualified full-time Educator to join us in providing this nurturing environment, offering the children outstanding care, a sense of belonging to the broader community and a curiosity to learn. Candidates need to have relevant qualifications which meet the AQF or that ACECQA has assessed as equivalent to: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (equivalent to AQF Certificate IV) with at least 2 years experience. Main duties for the Early Childhood Educator (Child Care Worker Non-Group Leader): Responsible, in consultation with the Coordinator, for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate program for individual children or groups (including educational and recreational activities plus social development). Responsible to the Coordinator for the supervision of students on placement. Responsible for ensuring a safe environment is maintained for both staff and children. Responsible for ensuring that records are maintained accurately for each child in their care. Develop, implement and evaluate daily care routines (including hygiene of children). Ensure that the centre or services policies and procedures are adhered to. Liaise with families. These roles will be reporting to the Room Leader and the Coordinator.
