This is a meaningful opportunity for an experienced Manager to join a growing Melbourne-based team of 25+ people, committed to improving the built environment and supporting a cleaner future through complex, portfolio-scale projects. FGA is entering a period of continued growth across major institutional clients, with several portfolio-scale climate risk, decarbonisation and energy advisory programs underway or commencing in 2026. This role has been created to provide experienced guidance, coordination, and client support during this important phase. This is a handson role with meaningful involvement from day one. You will work with a high level of trust and support, building client relationships, guiding project delivery, and contributing to the ongoing development of the advisory practice. About Your Role and Impact As a valued member of the FGA Energy Advisory team, you will provide experienced guidance during a period of increased project activity, supporting a portfolio of current engagements while helping position clients and teams for continued success beyond the contract period. You will work closely with the broader FGA team, contributing to meaningful outcomes for clients, colleagues, and communities. Your role will include the opportunity to: Provide coordination and support across a portfolio of consulting engagements, including tracking programme, budget, and risk across projects Contribute to the delivery of high-quality outcomes across multiple projects, helping organise priorities and timelines Strengthen internal delivery approaches, including consistency and project practices, to support ongoing success Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders, using active listening to understand needs, risks, and opportunities Support the development of client relationships and explore opportunities to provide additional value within existing engagements Prepare and share professional reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences Contribute to proposals and broader business development activities Collaborate with and support the wider FGA team in the design and delivery of zero-carbon projects Support the smooth transition of knowledge, relationships, and project continuity across the team About Your Qualifications and Experience Recognised tertiary qualification: Degree in Engineering Local industry experience (5+ years) in building services engineering consultancy Experience overseeing project delivery across a portfolio of concurrent engagements, including monitoring programme, budget, and risk Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making judgement calls with incomplete information, and taking ownership of outcomes rather than tasks Demonstrated experience as a project leader on consulting engagements, including managing scope, budget, programme, and client relationships Experience managing client engagements with demonstrated ability to identify and pursue follow-on or expanded scopes of work Experience in preparing professional consultancy reports and making client presentations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Advanced critical thinking Initiative and passion for getting it done right Personal desire to improve our environment We highly regard: Experience in delivering projects involving climate risk assessments, electrification, energy efficiency, building management systems, renewable energy or clean energy systems Postgraduate qualification in business, management, or sustainability If youre ready for the opportunity to join the FG Advisory team in an exciting phase of its growth, please submit your Cover Letter and CV.
