Influence Group strategic project and reporting outcomes including key accounting judgements Blend technical accounting with commercial, endtoend finance impact Lead the Advisory team as the trusted advisor for key financial decisions made across business planning and reporting About the Role This role supports Suncorp Groups external reporting obligations and the preparation, review and governance of key estimates and judgements across Group strategic projects and reporting. You will provide trusted accounting advice while working closely with senior leaders and finance partners to strengthen endtoend finance processes, governance and commercial outcomes. This is a 6-month contract position. What Youll Do Provide highquality and commercially focussed technical accounting advice supporting strategic projects, external reporting, estimates and judgements across Group reporting Prepare clear, decisionready insights for senior leaders, auditors and governance forums, including Board Audit Committee reporting Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen controls, improve efficiency and enhance reporting and advice quality Partner with finance and business teams to support business planning, transactions and commercial decisionmaking Support robust governance over key endtoend finance and ledger processes, working closely with Ledger Control and finance operations teams Review and interpret new and changing accounting and sustainability standards, translating requirements into practical policies and guidance What Youll Bring CA or CPA qualification, with strong experience in accounting advisory roles, technical accounting or financial reporting Proven ability to apply accounting standards and complex judgements in a practical, commercial environment Experience working across key finance senior stakeholders, influencing positive change and outcomes for both BAU and projects Experience working across endtoend finance processes, including general ledger, controls, reporting (statutory and management) and governance Ability to balance technical depth with commercial insight, supporting informed business and financial decisions Experience partnering with senior stakeholders, auditors or regulators, translating complexity into clear outcomes A collaborative mindset, with curiosity and confidence to work across ambiguity and evolving requirements What Youll Enjoy Access our awardwinning Shine platform your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
