The Opportunity This is a compelling opportunity for an Intellectual Property Partner to join the well-regarded QLD partnership or for a partner-ready special counsel to take a clear and structured pathway toward it at a pivotal moment in the firm''s evolution. IP is a growing priority for many of the firm''s existing clients in property, development, hospitality, health, technology and corporate advisory. The incoming partner will be invited to bring their own connections but will also have the opportunity to work across a base of existing referral relationships within the firm. This role suits a practitioner who is entrepreneurially minded, client-focused and looking for the freedom to build something meaningful within a supportive and commercially engaged firm. The Role You will play a key role in the development and delivery of IP advisory and disputes services across the firm''s client base, which includes: Trade marks prosecution, enforcement, portfolio management and licensing Copyright, designs and domain name matters IP due diligence in M&A and property transactions Commercialisation of IP assets including technology, brand and creative content Confidentiality, restraints of trade and IP-related employment advice Disputes and contentious IP matters (or referral management where appropriate) You will work collaboratively with partners across property, corporate, hospitality and employment to identify and service IP needs across the firm''s existing client relationships. About You We are looking for a practitioner who is ready to take on a leadership role and contribute to the partnership: 820 years'' post-admission experience with a substantive IP focus Strong technical capability across trade marks and IP commercialisation, advisory and transactional work Existing client relationships and demonstrable business development capability A portable practice, or the profile and relationships to grow one within this firm Experience from a top-tier, leading mid-tier or specialist IP firm or boutique A collegial, collaborative disposition that complements the firm''s culture Candidates at the Special Counsel level will also be considered with a clear 1224 month pathway to partnership for the right candidate.
