Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.Seisma Group, backed by Australian-owned superannuation funds and experiencing continued growth across Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand, is seeking experienced Azure Data Engineers to join a premium Government services client on a large-scale Data Management Platform (DMP) project. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Data Lakehouse environment, leveraging Azure Data Fabric and Informatica to deliver robust, scalable, and secure data solutions that enable advanced analytics capabilities.About the RoleAs a Azure Data Engineer, you will design, build, manage, and maintain data products in Microsoft Azure based on business requirements. Youll work with a multi-vendor and in-house team to enhance existing pipelines, develop new ones, and optimise the medallion architecture to support analytics and reporting needs.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop data products in Microsoft Azure aligned with business requirements.Design and implement ETL solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics or Informatica.Create automated workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Pipelines, or Informatica.Develop semantic data models for silver and gold layers of the Data Lake.Implement data validation, cleansing, and security measures to ensure high-quality, secure data.Manage Data Warehouses and Data Lakes using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Fabric.Build solutions for streaming data via Azure Stream Analytics or Azure Event Hubs.Create and maintain Power BI dashboards.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and storage issues.Collaborate with stakeholders, manage risks, and maintain technical standards.Skills & Experience5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and scripting.Knowledge of data modelling techniques (dimensional modelling, star schema).Proven ability to collaborate with BA and DBA teams to identify and map data requirements.Tertiary qualifications or relevant Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.Power BI development and enterprise report maintenance experience.Why Join Seisma?Professional GrowthWere committed to your continuous learning.
