About The Role The role is key to transforming the way child protection is delivered by implementing Nugel''s practice based on Cultural Therapeutic Ways. It works with Aboriginal children and families, providing Kinship Case Contracted Services in which VACCA assumes full case management of children on protective orders who are placed longterm with their extended families. Responsibilities The Lakidjeka ACSASS Case Advisor will provide advice and support to inform the respectful engagement of families, conduct risk and other assessments, and participate in planning, monitoring and reviews undertaken by child protection. Support children and families with culturally grounded, compassionate care. Engage with children and young people to develop nurturing, positive relationships and assist each child in dealing with traumabased responses to life. Actively contribute to the development of internal and statewide policies, procedures and protocols related to the ACAC program.
