About The Opportunity The Immediate Housing Response (IHR) Program supports individuals, couples and families who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness across the Sunshine Coast. Reporting to the Operations Manager - Housing and Accommodation, the Coordinator Immediate Housing Response provides leadership, supervision and operational oversight to the IHR team. The role ensures timely, personcentred, culturally safe and traumainformed responses to housing crises, while maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders and suppliers. A day in this role may include supervising and supporting staff, coordinating responses to urgent referrals, liaising with accommodation providers and government stakeholders, monitoring service delivery and reporting requirements, and contributing to the continuous improvement of outreach and housing response practices. You will be solutionsfocused, calm under pressure, and committed to supporting staff to deliver highquality, personcentred outcomes, while actively fostering and maintaining a positive team culture. Requirements Of The Role Experience supervising or coordinating staff within housing, homelessness or community services Strong knowledge of traumainformed, culturally safe and personcentred practice Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationshipbuilding skills Strong written, verbal and reporting skills Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and the ability to build rapport quickly Strong experience in program reporting, data integrity and meeting contractual and funding performance requirements The ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment A relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work or a related field (highly regarded) Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful A QLD Working With Children Blue Card or have applied for one Current valid Queensland Drivers License with no restrictions Ability to provide two references from recent employers (including your current line manager) As part of our recruitment process we do a number of history screenings including a Licensed Care Suitability check (LCS2) and a National Crime Check Application and assessment process When submitting your application, please include your current CV and cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
