Primary objective Coordinate and deliver infrastructure, facilities and grounds maintenance across George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens (GBDBG), while providing practical operational support to horticulture programs including weed management, through a handson and solutionsfocused approach. Key duties and responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of facilities, infrastructure and grounds to identify maintenance requirements, safety risks and operational priorities. Undertake handson maintenance, repair, irrigation support and minor landscaping works within skill and capacity. Support the delivery of weed management activities across the site in collaboration with the Curator Manager and Lead Horticulturists, including monitoring, treatment and record keeping. Provide onsite liaison for Urgent Minor Repairs (UMR) and other contractor works delivered through DLI, assisting with site access, supervision and operational requirements. Provide practical operational support to key horticulture projects. Manage the key and lock register and support site security processes. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements across infrastructure and weed managementrelated activities. Selection criteria Demonstrated experience in facilities, grounds or infrastructure maintenance, including weed management and minor works. Practical experience undertaking handson maintenance and groundsbased activities, with the ability to support horticultural operations and projects. Ability to coordinate and deliver routine maintenance and operational tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Sound problemsolving, organisational and recordkeeping skills, including the ability to identify risks and escalated issues appropriately. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. NT Driver Licence (Class C) or ability to obtain one.
