Job Description Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for driving safety outcomes by influencing and supporting managers, leadership teams, employees and contractors/visitors in the application of safety risk management practices and processes. In addition, this role will also be responsible for: Undertake a comprehensive gap analysis of current WHS practices to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement. Develop a detailed WHS strategy and implementation plan that addresses identified gaps and enhances overall workplace safety. Create, update, and implement WHS processes, policies, and procedures that comply with relevant legislation and industry standards. Provide expert advice and guidance to management and staff on all aspects of workplace health, safety and environment. Lead WHS risk assessments, and audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards. Maintaining safety registers and reports, clearly outlining achievements and identifying areas for improvement. Provide safety guidance, training, and education to all levels of staff. Monitor and report on WHS performance, initiatives and compliance status. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and ensure that WHS initiatives are effectively integrated into business operations. Chair relevant committees e.g., Safety committee, Environmental committee. Act as the Injury Management Coordinator for the business. Job Criteria Tertiary qualifications (e.g., Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, or equivalent, with Diploma (WHS) and relevant work experience) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Sustained experience in WHS and Environmental management positions Worked within a multidiscipline/multifunction environment Practical experience in the principal WHS functions Intellectual capacity and emotional intelligence consistent with the demands of this position Strong analytical skills Articulate, welldeveloped verbal and written communication skills Sound computer skills Ability to lead as well as work in a team environment Demonstrated experience in an FMCG environment is essential More Information At M.A.P.
