The Manager Capability and Development is responsible for leading planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of the Departments learning and development strategy to drive capability uplift and achieve workforce excellence objectives. This role oversees team resourcesincluding people, budgets, assets, and informationand provides expert advice on adult learning principles, program design, and delivery. It leads the development and implementation of workforce employment programs, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. The position fosters strong stakeholder collaboration and works closely across the broader People and Culture function to implement the Departments performance management and development strategy. It also designs and delivers initiatives that support workforce diversity objectives and promote a culture of continuous growth and improvement. There is one permanent, full-time opportunity available for appointment. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment. To be successful for this position, you need to demonstrate: Demonstrated experience in leading the design, development, implementation and evaluation of workforce learning and development programs. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams. Demonstrated ability to influence effectively and lead the delivery of a customercentric service.
