Are you a vibrant leader with 3-5 years management and leadership experience in the manufacturing industry? ACC Higgins is one of Australias largest and best-regarded coffin and casket manufacturers. An exciting opportunity has now become available for a committed, proactive SA General Manager to join our group and build a long-term career. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you are a Hands On Manager who has experience working in the Manufacturing or Timber related industry. You will have full accountability for the operational and cultural outcomes at the factory. You will be directly accountable for the circa 25 staff and their professional performance. You will drive continuous improvement, manage In Full On Time (IFOT) and maintain suitable levels of stock in all parts of the Queensland production facility. In addition, the role entails overseeing safe work practices for all staff and maintaining all plant and equipment. You will coordinate with the National Sales and Marketing Manager customer enquiries and customer contact ensuring that their needs are serviced in the most professional way. You will manage the integration of new customers and oversee the quality of our products prior to them leaving the factory. You will understand ISO:9001, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) regulations as we drive our sustainability programs into the future in line with government requirements. Your leadership will influence how well your division delivers on its operational objectives ensuring quality service to your customers and stakeholders. You will represent the company at appropriate functions and events and lead our staff engagement programs and ensure all in the business adhere to our Values. Excellent written and oral communications are critical to the role along with strong report writing skills and computer literacy.
