Junee Shire Council is seeking a motivated Director of Engineering to work with the Executive Leadership Team and elected Council members to deliver Infrastructure services to the community of Junee Shire. In this role, youll have responsibility for overseeing the full scope of the Shires Infrastructure operations including civil engineering, capital and maintenance across the Local, Regional and State road networks, Parks and Gardens, and Waste and Wastewater facilities. As the Director of Engineering services, you will be responsible for: Managing strategic operations within a fastpaced department. Supporting and providing overall coordination delivery of Councils planned construction and maintenance programs and service provisions. Collaborating with the Engineering department to undertake planning for and prioritising of capital works, including Councils works program. Liaising with and negotiating with contracts, customers and other stakeholders to ensure planned works are completed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, industry standards and budget. Ensuring maintenance works and projects are constructed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, industry standards and within budget. Who You Are You have experience as a leader, with relevant tertiary qualifications as a Civil Engineering Specialist. You take pride in your work, providing services to the benefit of the community. You will have previous experience of delivering outcomes through effective strategic and operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders, across all levels of government. You have an ability to gain credibility as a technical expert and comprehensive knowledge of legislation, regulations, design standards and codes of practice relating to the construction and maintenance of infrastructure and the management of public assets.
