We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.**About the role**As a **Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner,** this is your opportunity to deliver assessments, individual support, and group programs for men who use family violence while maintaining high-quality documentation and practice standards. A core focus of the role is ensuring the safety of women and children through ongoing risk assessment and coordinated interventions.The Salvation Army Inner Gippsland Family Violence Integrated Mens Services (IMS) provides support and intervention to men who have perpetrated family violence. Our response upholds the principles found within our Family Violence Model of Care. We offer an integrated service response that includes intake and assessment, case management, Mens Behaviour Change group work as well as offer support to impacted family members.Reporting to the Integrated Men''s Services Team Leader, this is a permanent, full time position, located in Leongatha, VIC. **Conditions** Salary and compensation are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award Level 6.**How you will make an impact*** Complete intake, assessment, and ongoing risk evaluations for men who use family violence* Co-facilitate in-person and online Mens Behaviour Change groups, including after-hours sessions* Provide individual interventions and coordinated case support to men and their families* Develop and implement safety plans that prioritise the wellbeing of women and children* Maintain high-quality documentation and comply with all legislative and contractual requirements* Participate regularly in supervision and reflective practice to support safe, effective service delivery* This role requires the successful candidate to have access to a private space to deliver the online Mens Behaviour Change Group programs**What you will bring*** Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences or related fields is essential* Demonstrated family violence experience.* Case management skills and experience desirable* An understanding of the complexities that come with working with Men who use violence* An Employee Working with Children Check* A current Victorian Drivers Licence**What we offer**The Salvos offer eligible employee''s a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including:* Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit* Generous Paid Parental leave for primary (12 weeks) & secondary carers, Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities* Flexible working arrangements* Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives incl Fitness Passport* Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency* Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable / social impactsThe Salvation Army (Salvos) is a Christian movement and one of Australia''s largest and most-loved charities.
