ABOUT THE ROLEThis is not just a teaching job. It is a calling. CAPS Kurrawang is a small, close-knit Christian school serving approximately 85 predominantly Aboriginal (First Nations) students from Kindy to Year 6. The school runs four mixedyear classes and is proud of its near 80% attendance rate exceptional by any measure in this space. We are seeking a Year 3/4 classroom teacher to join our passionate, cohesive team. You will be supported by an Education Assistant (EA) and work within a school culture built on coownership, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to every child in the building.Classroom Teaching Plan and deliver engaging Year3/4 programmes aligned with the WA Curriculum, adapting to the diverse learning needs of your students.Student Wellbeing Build genuine, caring relationships with students and their families you will often be at the coalface of their world, not just their education.Collaborative Practice Work as part of a tightknit team where coownership of the school environment is the norm.Cultural Engagement Embrace and integrate First Nations perspectives into your teaching with humility and a genuine willingness to learn from this community.Community Connection Actively engage with students families and the broader Kurrawang community as a trusted and visible presence.Faith Integration Support and uphold the schools Christian ethos, participating in staff devotions, prayer, and the schools Christcentred approach to education.ABOUT YOU:Ideal CandidatePractising Christian with a genuine faith commitment and a servants heart. This is essential.Registered (or eligible to register) with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA).Primaryqualified with a strong understanding of the WA Curriculum.Culturally humble prior experience with Aboriginal communities is valued, but genuine willingness to learn from this specific community matters more.A boots in team player who thrives in a collaborative, everyonegetsinvolved environment.Emotionally resilient and missionminded you understand that education here goes far beyond the curriculum.Committed to staying we are looking for someone who will invest in seeing a cohort grow through the school.
