Datacom Dandenong South, Victoria, Australia The Store person is responsible for receiving, handling, sorting, scanning and dispatching goods within the warehouse. Role Responsibilities The Store person is responsible for (but not limited to): Receiving, scanning, sorting and placing incoming goods on shelves. Unloading and loading containers or vehicles of goods, both inwards and outwards. Operating computer systems to obtain details of stock quantity and location. Operating machinery such as a forklift to lift, place and remove items. Assisting with regular stock takes and cleaning of warehouse. Working in accordance with strict Work Health and Safety guidelines. Assisting with packing and physical movement of goods according to workload demands. Takes reasonable care that their actions (or inactions) do not harm the Health and Safety of self or others. Reports all incidents, hazards or unsafe work practices as per Datacom policy. Note: Work Location is at Dandenong South VIC and this is a Fulltime work Onsite. Requirements Knowledge Understanding of warehouse management systems and ERP principles. Understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and legislation. Experience Previous experience in a warehousing / distribution / logistics. Skills Ability to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members within own area of expertise. Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent relationship building and customer service skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
