We aim to transform the prevention, early intervention and treatment landscape for eating disorders in Australia, and ultimately find a cure. InsideOut conducts innovative, high-quality and impactful research and translation including world-first intervention trials. Our other programs of work focus on implementation and large scale translation of our programs into mainstream health pathways, consultation and advice to government on policy and practice. We have a rich co-production program and strive to create a dynamic, collaborative, agile and forward-thinking work culture.We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support Professor Sarah Maguire and her team in their Eating Disorder research.Your key responsibilities will be to:undertake and lead quantitative and qualitative research in a number of projects focusing on eating disordersprovide leadership within the research team at InsideOut Institutedevelop and write successful applications for competitive research grants and/ or funding to deliver research and translation programssupervise postgraduate research students, volunteers and projectsmonitoring of grants including expenditure, governance and ethicsfoster excellence in the clinical management of eating disorders and related chroniccontribute to, and directly influence, the development of improved public policy on eating disorders, at a national and international leveldevelop research collaborations and engage in translational research that results in knowledge or technology transfer leading to improved policy or practice, commercialisation, or enhancement to industry, the health system and/ or communityprovide training, informal mentoring, and guidance to lower-level academicscontribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabledcontribute to the strategic direction of the Faculty/Institutedevelop productive relationships, collaborations and partnerships with external parties (including research partners, government bodies and industry) which will ultimately contribute to improved outcomes for the profession, industry and/or community About youhold relevant PhD in relevant area-mental health, eating disorders or related fieldstrong experience in research in eating disorders- Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorderdemonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysisdemonstrated experience in grant writing and successdemonstrated experience in post-graduate supervisionstring publication track recorddemonstrated experience in collaborative research teams and projectspossess strong personal qualities, high level interpersonal skills and hold a collaborative approach that contributes to the development and maintenance of a positive workplace culturedemonstrated experience in literature searches and literature summariesdemonstrated ability to write for both an academic and non-academic audiencewillingness to participate in mentoring development activities with junior staff and students Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
